Laughter as Therapy

Having had a private counselling practice for over ten years, followed by many other professional careers, I am now able to offer Laughter Therapy.
Albert Einstein said "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them". A key difference with this unusual form of therapy is the side-stepping of the egoic trouble-filled mind.
Viktor Frankl, a survivor of the horrors of the concentration camps in World War II, advocates what he called Paradoxical Intent; rather than running from one's issues, they can end up being simply disarmed by intentionally moving towards them. This may start with releasing pent up emotions of all kinds, maybe followed by tears, and then bursting the bubble of the negative thoughts by laughing at them!
This produces a cathartic release followed by freedom from one's own disturbing thoughts.
